Market Data API Pricing Use Cases
Sample pricing simulations to help estimate Market Data API usage across REST, WebSocket, and FIX API usage patterns.
Market Data API Pricing Use Cases
These use cases show how Market Data API pricing can be estimated across different usage patterns, including REST requests, WebSocket data transfer, and FIX API connectivity.
Each example is based on a specific scenario to help customers understand which plan may fit their expected usage.
These examples are pricing simulations only. Actual usage may vary depending on endpoint parameters, number of symbols, subscribed channels, market activity, transferred data volume, and connection behavior.
Before using these estimates
Market Data API costs may include one or more of the following:
- REST Credits, based on REST API requests and returned data points.
- Tier 1 Data, based on WebSocket trade, quote, or order book data transferred.
- Tier 2 Data, based on WebSocket metadata, OHLCV, or exchange rates data transferred.
- FIX API connectivity, based on Connection-Hours when FIX API is used.
Plan limits reset daily, and usage above the included plan limits may be billed as additional metered usage.
How to read the examples
Each use case includes:
- The protocol used, such as REST, WebSocket, or FIX
- The estimated daily usage
- The relevant plan limits
- A comparison across available plans
- A sample Pay As You Go or overage calculation
- Caveats that may affect real-world usage
